fab week

Filed under Portrait • Written by Griffith Photography @ 5:53 PM

What a great week at the studio….and out!  Spring is here and our “season” is officially underway.  GP is crazy mad busy about 6-8 months of the year.  The rest of the time is spent preparing for crazy mad busy season!  It’s here and for the first time since we opened 3 years ago we’re armed and ready!  We’re officially finished up photographing our GP Senior Models….wow, what a bunch.  I’m so impressed with all of these young people and can’t wait to prepare and present their images to them really really really soon.  I also just finished up photographing a project for the Carson City Hospital which was really neat because we got to photograph a bunch of maternity, newborn, and kids’ sessions as they intend to do a Women’s Health Campaign this spring.  And the week wouldn’t be complete without Isaac Jon.  His parents welcomed him into the world on Wednesday and I was fortunate enough to be his documentarian.  I showed up a few hours before he was born to unobtrusively document his arrival and then captured him in the first seconds of his life.  What an incredible honor that was!!!!  I hope to be able to post some of those images to the blog soon if it’s okay with mom and dad!  There are a couple on our facebook fan page if you’re curious….be a fan!  All in all it was just one fabulous week!

Baby Owen

We’ve been photographing this family since their 3 year old was a newborn and now it’s time for baby #2.  Originally customers and now great friends we were so happy to get over to the house to photograph Owen when he was just 4 days old.  What a little angel.  At first I thought he looked JUST like his big brother but I’m starting to think he’s got a look all his own.  I have to admit he was much more alert than I was expecting.  Usually I can do whatever I want with a newborn, especially one who hasn’t even broke double digits….they are so sleepy and tired but he was wide awake most of the time and ready for the world!  We took our time and got him cozy eventually!  Thanks, yet again, for letting us capture your babies!

Lady Lauren

This beauty has had my eye for a long while now! Her mama, Kristi, is my BGFF (best greenville friend FOREVER.) Today we headed out to BGFF’s parents’ farm house to photograph Lauren as well as Grandpa’s Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies. (He is a breeder and if you’re looking for an amazing, stunning pet to add to your family, let me know!) Anyways, back to Lauren! Isn’t she so gorgeous?!?!?! You know those lucky people out there that have eyes that talk…Lauren is one of them! Those eyes always have something to say…even if she doesn’t! Thanks, Kristi, for being such a good friend!

Lovin’ Ann Arbor

Filed under Portrait • Written by Griffith Photography @ 2:19 PM

One of my favorite newborn sessions back in December passed along our info to this gorgeous baby’s parents.  I’d like to say I braved the roads yesterday to get to Ann Arbor and back but to be honest I had no idea it was supposed to be so nasty.  But….I made it home and it was well worth it.  Just look at this angel!!!!  Mom was BRILLIANT and had Baby Renna naked and swaddled before I even arrived so we were able to start the session while she was still sleeping which is a huge plus as sleeping baby images are a little more difficult to muster with a 5 week old.  She woke up soon after and we spent the afternoon playing!  They sent me on my way with a trash bag full of my baby props as she did her baby thing on just about all of it :)  Renna, girl, you were a pleasure to photograph and your parents were pretty darn easy too!!! Enjoy some highlights of the session!

Pure Love in this household!

Party at the Studio

Filed under Portrait • Written by Griffith Photography @ 2:15 PM

Our baby girl, Evelyn, celebrated her 1st birthday with a huge party at the studio yesterday afternoon!  We were so happy to enjoy this milestone with our family and close friends.  We put together a little slideshow of her first year and looped it on the big screen in the projection room and here it is!

New and Improved!

Filed under Portrait • Written by Griffith Photography @ 1:29 PM

Thanks for visiting our new and improved blog.  And you got here by visiting the new and improved website(s).  We thought it would be nice to separate our senior customers from our babies and kids and other portrait work so please enjoy the segregation!  Things are pretty exciting at the studio these days…but winter always lends itself to a time of creative brainstorming and projects as this the slow season for our business.  Stay tuned to some spectacular specials going on in March and April!  As for the new blog….bigger pictures, more posts, more FUN!  This is just a cool place to visit :)

Just look at this little man!
